Interesting comment regarding the cray's Paul, when I worked on a cray boat over the West many many years ago we had one day a month off, on the new moon. Was a big day, the skipper with the biggest catch for the month would put on a keg and we had mouse races.

Agree regarding the food (for those that made the wrong choice ). The night was a great opportunity for us to meet face to face instead of just here in the forum. Not suggesting we do exactly the same thing again but I would like to see some way to repeat the gathering while the weather is less favourable for fishing. I am trying to think of an alternative to suggest to the management.

Will be interesting to see your results this season after the flooding, also look forward to the great photos, good luck mate.

Could I ask how you came up with this subject for a school project and also what level of school it is? There is a lot of experience available from the members here but it is very hard to answer a very general question the way you have framed it

Copper blade spinners with red wool on the hooks used to work well for me, was a long time ago though.

With the amount of water around you may need to invest in one of these?
