"Fishing the Dream" Marathon Florida Keys - in just 10 days, Paul and his son's Nathan ( age 7) and Jared( age 10) catch 42 different species of saltwater fish. They spot a giant green turtle surfacing boat side, iguana's in the coconut trees, Florida stalks fishing dockside and a pod of dolphins whilst shark fishing in the back country. The films shows all the different species in a slide show mixed with film. As they travel from and to each fishing mark they have fun hot-dogging and Paul even takes his scuba gear and dives the Thunderbolt wreck. A fantastic family holiday - one to be cherished forever!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGa8MUosy5g

Paul is fly fishing for Trout at Syon House. Originally constructed by Capability Brown in the 1760s, the six acre lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout from Albury (and brown trout in season) of an average weight of 2lb 8oz up to in excess of 10lb. Paul uses a floating line and presents an olive gold head to tempt the rainbows. During this 2 hour session Paul gets remarkably close to a Heron and spots green Himalayan parakeets flying over the lake. Besides the amazing bird life he manages to catch 4 beautiful rainbows. He shows you how to "roll cast" when trees do not permit the normal overhead cast. He also demonstrates the back ward cast in windy conditions.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OxZQ6Fup70

Dad lands a 80lb lemon shark, and a 250lb nurse shark on a night sortie. With just 15 minutes to go, Paul makes contact with a 20lb plus rainbow trout whilst fly fishing on a top Hampshire Trout Lake. Paul's self tied silver headed black nymph tempts the fish. It sprints half way across the lake as Paul try's to control the fish. "Gently does it" with a 6lb maxima leader and a 5/6 floating line and loop fly rod.http://youtu.be/XYtkFGtj_zo

Just when he was about to pack up, his pike balloon decides to take off at high speed, as a 5th large pike takes the final sprat dead bait mounted on a single barbless hook. Paul plays the fish and then shows you how to chin the fish before removing the hook with his hands. The fish is recovered and then shoots off to fight another day.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP6x4uiFuMo&feature=colike

Hi AFFGravel pits are generally old quarries that have been put to good use by turning them into fishing lakes. Don't know about now, but back when I was fishing them over 30 years ago they were generally, but not always, pay to fish. The quarry owners turned them into fishing lakes & then charged you to go fishing there, sort of keeping an income from something that wasn't used any more. Generally well stocked and very good fisheries so we didn't mind paying, especially in Hampshire, which just happens to be where I'm from originally, there is a preponderance of super expensive chalk stream/rivers for trout and salmon, but coarse fishing opportunities were limited until these gravel pits started opening up.As you can see from Paul's videos the lakeside vegetation suggests that some of these lakes have been around for quite a while and some had excellent reputations for Pike even before I left the UK in 1981.Interesting to see that despite the number of different hard bodied lures being made for virtually all species of fish these days, Paul is still catching Pike on a good old Mepps number 5. If it aint broke, don't fix it.CheersWahoo

Nice going Paul .Ive often heard the term " Garvel Pit" used in your country. Is that referring to something like an old quarry, or a lake that happens to have a gravel bed ?Either way it looks like an awesome place to fish

Out Pike fishing on a Hampshire Gravel pit. Paul finds a very nice bay that is holding a good head of small roach that are being chased by Pike in the Margins. Paul decides to use a red and yellow bodied mepps 5 with a copper blade to simulate the fleeing roach. He makes a dead- accurate cast just a few inches from the point and is rewarded with a beautiful double that takes the spinner within 2 seconds of the lure hitting the water. Accuracy is everything with predator fishing. He manages to release the fish in the water as he is using barbless hooks for a quick release.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE4kBOy7hUE&feature=plcp

An afternoon's Pike fishing on a Hampshire Lake produces some excellent Pike sport. Paul shows you how to use float fished sprats mounted on a single semi barbless hook. Whilst waiting for the float to disappear he plugs and spins around the bay bringing in more pike toward the dead-bait. An effective combination that produces 6 pike (to double figures) in just 2 hours. The film shows you how easy it is to remove a single hook without taking the fish out of the water.http://youtu.be/Ro39zz3IQL0

We took a couple of boat rods and artificial sand eels in attempt to catch a few wild sea bass. After catching a few fresh mackerel for bait we fished off anchor as well as drift fishing and trolling. Here is the video linkhttp://youtu.be/kjqvU8hF1WE

The monster pike was taken whilst fishing a dead bait in a large back eddy near Ashley Bends. Jared removes the single circle hook and after weighing his new PB safely returns the fish to the pool.http://youtu.be/iXnfbOspzZA
