There are no right or wrongs in fishing. Everyone has there own tips, tricks, colours for certain situations etc. Working in the Tackle shop you pass on your own experiences and tips and tricks. The customers can take it all in and give it a try or go there own way. 
What might work one for some might not work for others and are the fish feeding at that particular time that you are fishing etc....
That is the great thing about places like this and most tackle shops as they are willing to put you in the right direction and help you out to the best of there knowledge. 
Again what is the point of selling something if you don't trust the product your selling works, but there are so many factors to consider when it comes to fishing it is what defines a good angler to a great angler knowing what to use at what time. That's where trial and error comes into it and putting many hours in researching and reading the waterway.

Plus fish don't always take the same lures year after year . Sometimes tackle Shop staff tell the same thing over and over .
That lure i got the 33 on was purple Green clear with a red throat and uv colours .
I bought it caught an undersize bream weeks later throw it again 33 cm.
Got to say I loved being told you must use the orange belly in strong winds and dirty water . So this lure worked on a dodge tide low dirty water in 20 to 30 knot winds . Now  my middle name isnt lucky lol

Spot on doobie, that's what I always do.. if & when they don't work then try something different..

Not much of a whinge I lost two of my favourite lures this week . Went into a tackle Shop near my parents place . I've told them before nicely that the old rule that of only lures with orange bellies work . Told them nicely before things have changed clear or see through do the trick now . I know I was one who always said that but I've listened to younger fishers clear or see through are the go . I replaced my totally see through and another one with green . To be told they don't work if the waters dirty or its windy you need the orange belly . Umm today it was 20 or 30 knots dirty water landed a 33 cm .

Hi Mickyj If it was a Cranka minnow you used that was the style of lure that caught you those few mulloway in the Pat  From memory it was a gold lure with either black or red blotches on the side Regards HBt

My mate has one and he prefers the double clutch, but I rate it as a lure. Never seen it used on bream but big dam trout don't mind it. 

I've caught reddies on em, no luck with the Bream tho 

I don't recall ever buying one and using one .
So I bit the bullet and bought a see through one . Not sure I like it or don't like it .
Feels different I had a test run this morning no hits no touches lots of smalls following .
I'll try again when there's more water

Cheers Brenton I did a little search supposedly replaced by a nasic if I’ve got the name right .mind you the 750 size seems a big issue lucky I’m ok with my old one 

When my Shimano symetre 750 dies so to say what replaces the Symetre in the shimano range . Not looking at upgrading yet I’m under orders from my adult kids no new reels lol

I can’t seem to quote anyone else now kidney slapper I’ll be at the Pat  . Land based limited pontoons moorings in the marina I’ll walk that way caught bream there around the one bridge . Also caught bream on the rock walls steps foot paths and beaches . Cranka Crabs never tried before what I have been told the beaches at the pat they work .just watched a video from 2014 I will rig them like the video shows never seen the jigs they used but I’ll give it ago 

Here’s the packets I had a $10 voucher so I got two packets for less than 1. Which I can’t upload sorry guys 

I’ll try the savage ones don’t cost much for a packet let you think it’s 5 or 8 in a packet

Then I got STs on savage colour your own
That tells me they all could work
Zman Grubbs zman slim swimz at some stage on a two dollar packet out of a cheap bin at BCF is f I can name them a 38 cm bream
Every thing can work 😊 Mullet and whiting went mad for slim swimz all be it wasn't much difference in sizes of plastic and fish 😂

Mickyj don't write those SPs off mate. I would not have choosen to buy them myself, but a mate gave them to me to try and they have been doing real well. Will definitely make sure I have them in my SP arsenal!😉
