  1. Buddy you got it; its illegal to posses undersized sand crabs, so ya cant use em for bait. In a perfect world it should be ok, but there a too many dodgy people around so our laws have to be tough...
  2. Many of my best trout have been caught casting Tassie Devils. I have also caught reddies on orange cobras, purple tassies and no 36 muddeye with yellow wings.
  3. Spot on Ranger! Ya definitely need 11 for a decent soup!
  4. You're doing it the right way mate. SO where do you spearfish Morningfresh? Had much luck recently?
  5. Wow! Either a couple of ya know the same bloke without realising it or there is some utter BS flying around this post....
  6. Correct.. This means that you cannot do it at all.My opinon on the regulation is that i would like it to be reviewed on mullet so that up to 3 fish could be kept alive for livebait purposes only. They have a similar rule to this in other states. As this is not the case in SA we can only use live bait which is of legal size or has no size limit!
  7. Personally i think we need to ban those fishers using chicken pellets for burley, they're the ones who attract the Chickens to the jettys in the first place and then the sharks go nuts for em!
  8. I had soft shell crab (deep fried) at Wah Hing on Gouger St on Tuesday, you eat the shell and all, it was bloody AWESOME!!
  9. Try Adelaide Bait and Tackle, they're a site sponsor and they're in the area!
  10. Hey SideShow I reckon Brenton was saying someone is more likely to tell a lad to rack off than a middleaged fella with a beard! He's not a bad bloke. You will notice that generally older fellas will have less troubles fishing around westlakes. Young bucks always have to prove they're not causing trouble because people assume that they do, while often older blokes will get the benefit of the doubt.PS. I'm Keen to see the fish off! Vs .fishswim. .fishswim.
  11. Hi, We've got Baitmate, Mate!Saisbury Tackleworld 8258 1166
  12. Breakout creek was created to drain the suburbs around lockleys and that of henley, westbeach, (what is now westlakes) ect. It was a public works project during the great depression and the result is the channel out to sea at westbeach. In recent times there has been a project to make the channel more natural and the result are the runs and billabongs from Henley Beach rd to the sea.Prior to intervention the torrens ended in a huge wetland that stretched behind the dunes from glenelg to the Port. THe natural outlets during flood occured at the Port River and also the Patawalonga. Its an intere
  13. Yeah big Bream are good! but i prefer minced Eagle Ray.... RAW.Ray-Shimi all the way...
  14. Havent seen or head of Slimys in there this year yet. Nothing like last year when they were everywhere....Plenty of Gar and Tommies around though..
  15. Take it easy. This is obviously an emotive and complicated subject but thats a bit OTT.I dont think anyones goal is to turn our country into a craphole...... nor did they come for the fishing....
  16. I remove the split ring and tie a loop directly to to tow point. It does not happen often but is is possible for a loop knot to work its way out of a split ring (ive done it a few times). Also a loop will get caught on the ring and cause the lure to swim incorrectly. Id suggest removing split rings whether going with a loop or a clip! (except on blades which may have a sharp finish)
  17. Woah! sorry mate, meant Big Ian: Read that wrong, no wonder i confused ya!
  18. True Ian, Dunphy Sport does a a great job of ensuring all Shimano reels have an english manual or atleast an english section in the manual, be nice if all reels were like this!Ranger (OOPS, I mean IAN): Perhaps i should have been clearer; YES I AM SURE that is a JAPANESE MODEL; all blue Saltigas are. Australian Saltigas are RED. They only came out this season. The Australian warranty card is Provided by Daiwa Australia. It would be correct to assume Daiwa Australia dont consider Australian tackle buyers when they produce thier top end japanese manuals.Daiwa have english manuals for most reels,
