  3. If I recall you caught your PB on that trip with a 86cm Red in the first 30 sec. then nothing except a couple of squidAlways great to be out on the water
  4. Yesterday HSV, GF & myself put in a couple of hours around the silt grounds just out from the Black Pole, picked up 7 KGW & heaps of undersize around 30 cm. Picked up 1 squid as it was getting a little choppy for drifting for them. The normal long shanks out fished the whiting snatchers, back to basics again :cheer:

  7. Have you though about going down to Goolwa & getting a few.Last year, my wife & son went down & met up with some other Strike & Hookers. We got our quota of 900 in 1 1/2 hours & had a ball.Cost was about $50 for fuel, so it was worth while day with a bit of fun.We don't use a lot of cockles these days as we use a lot of squid tentacles as a preferred bait. For about 2 years now I haven't used any bought bait as we are always catching squid, slimies, STs, tomies and whiting heads for bait.I know this doen't answer your question, but my two bobs worth
  8. Thats exactly my thoughts on the high pressure results, more outings when conditions are favourable, I mainly work the tides verses the time of the day which would be around early morning or late in the day
  9. I record all my outings religiously and have done for the last 12 yrs, lost the last couple of years records due to a computer update, but never mind.At the end day if the weather is nice & a tide turn I go fishing providing other hobbies don't get in the way.So this is the results of my outings, the water temp ones wouldn't print but came up that 17 - 18 deg were the most productive

  14. Whats the latest update Ugly4Life
  15. Would that work better with just putting the dangling line down the hole in the centre of the tube or do they all tangle when you go to pull them out ?Would get less hooks on and some would fall out, with the Mrs pins on one end keeps them tight and in order. All my bigger rigs go into zip lock bags too,
  16. I give up ? whats that ?? http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=pool+noodle&num=10&hl=en&biw=1024&bih=677&tbm=isch&tbnid=DD0cjXI6Vn419M:&imgrefurl=http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-290885-pool-noodles.php&docid=TdX-qLMva59qzM&imgurl=http://i.istockimg.com/file_thumbview_approve/290885/2/stock-photo-290885-pool-noodles.jpg&w=380&h=285&ei=v9D6T6LgCOmiiAedibjRBg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=310&vpy=158&dur=2462&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=117&ty=171&sig=105008659007476111745&page=1&tbnh=152&tbnw=229&start=0&am
  17. Yea chuck in a RFL and make it the most expensive state to live in.If they drop the car rego and boat rego fees to the same as the Vics, I'll go for it.Qld just put in a multi million dollar artificial reef just of Brisbane and guess what, no RFL.We've been down this track before and it's all about fresh water stocks and with the marine parks coming on board thats going to fix the problem, isn't it.
  18. Two for one price before midday for that priceConcession would be $12
  19. Was there today with 4THA and met up with poppa snake later.I always enjoy going to the annual boat show, but this year I would say it was about 30% smaller in dealer attendance due the huge cost of renting sites and logistics of setting it up.The costs need to come down to make it a better show and even to the point that the dealers can get better value by letting the public in for free.
  20. Must get pretty exciting when you find schools like that, :woohoo: Did you guys get any other footage
  21. Safer to jump overboard and swim with the sharks I understood the first bit 4THA
