  1. Tried that, found I was collecting my floating belongings too often!
  2. The exact picture I need to copy the design! Very handy since I bought a pile of those balls for crab nets but found them to be 500ml too small just need a rod holder thats tall so you can stick that into the ground when fishing too
  3. for livies... I usually have a balloon threaded onto my swivel (half through the rubber ring). swivel onto a wire trace depending on depth about 1-2m from bottom. single hooks usually fine, bridle rigged where I can so the fish is okay to swim. if you need to keep the fish off the bottom, rubber band/ tie it up and use a life saver as the breaker it dissolves and livie usually breaks it when its out a decent distance.
  4. Id have liked the video to have a guy on a kayak int he background sinking trolleys haha. What research was put into the style of these to create the best type of reef in shortest period of time? Ive seen interstate they sink large concrete structures such as a hollow cube
  5. LOL.... Yep they have done a great job.....
  6. I sent you a PM but aliexpress has cheap flies. if not troutflies.com.au i think has a huge selection
  7. I would be annoyed if I was that person too. Simple solution to most of those problems for him would be to close off public access to his house. Litter is going to be a problem with all outdoor area's as people are generally pigs. Cig butts, fast food wrappers etc are all common through all public parks and walkways in SA which is a shame. A bin in the area would reduce the amount of waste left on the ground. It is a dry zone already so alcohol consumption is already breaking the law. Shouldn't introduce more laws because they are unable to police the current ones. "we cant be bothered to sto
  8. had a tld25, then upgraded to a tiagra 50. ive just spooled up 4 new spinning reels, now to find a day to wet a line chasing anything!
  9. yep, got the rod there too (tiagra 50) , starting to stock up on burley for the big sharks and such this summer. Might need a cheap chest freezer at current rate of collection haha
  10. I hit up west beach sunday, handful of squid and snook come dusk. Same deal Keeno, the squid only hit that lure of ours when out as well, had teaser and all which never got touched!
  11. spending a week on the Whyalla rocks chasing snapper. Ended up getting 1 legal one after camping there for a week. Having rocknev and Jason come and keep me company for periods, had to get that damn fish!
  12. and since they have been introduced I've spent thousands less in local fish shops and adjacent area's for food and beverages,
  13. dont f around when your at the ramp, prep before in prep areamake sure your damn crewie IS ON TIME!use the correct ramps for retrieve/ launch. Nothing like waiting to retrieve and some numpty decides to drop his boat in infront of you while your moving it up the ramp to shallow water. Many a times ive been 2nd boat in to retreive, gone and got the car and while im reserving back someones tring to jump the que... I will happily upgrade my tinny to your 530 haines if you want to push it onto this trailer for me!AVOID WESTBEACH ON WEEKENDS. Its rarely a good experience
  14. Took the tinny out last night off west beachGot very VERY wet, caught sfa, not sure it was that enjoyable lol
  15. I drove 400km'sLost lots of sinkers, hooks and baitcaught 2 shitties on 7/0'sDrove home.Shit 2 days fishing
  16. Seaweed worms are the ones I see all the locals in Wallaroo using when they have been bagging out on YFW on the jetty, might be easier and quicker to collect them?
  17. Try fireline, its kinda inbetween ive found and use it on most of my light rods. Its the same stuff you used of mine in the Port river for St's. It just had a 1m vanish trace on it.
  18. In a boat you need to have flares not just when over 2kms from shore as its now in semi protected waters you need to carry them. This also includes the port as we found out too.Its a $200+ fine.
  19. Tried that NickmavTried Cockle, squid, gar, tommy, plastic gents, pillie.Went out again today, great weather yet again, no squid but a nice mixed bag. Will let the person who I was lucky enough to go out with write the report
  20. Went out this morning from west beach, little big of a swell which made it slow to get down to brighton way for some squid, but damn were the big Bread and Butter fish out today. Not huge in numbers of squid, we got enough for a good feed with just 4 (all being over 30cms in the tube!) so move around trying to find another decent amount of squid to no avail.Threw the berley pot over around brighton way, few tommys none wanted to take any offerings :(Decided to move towards glenelg and go for some whiting.Threw lines for squid over, got a few smaller ones.line for whiting, got not even a touchBe
  21. Freeze it yourself if you have space in the freezer to. ice cream containers work well for a nice solid block. and a few 2l coke bottles. Also i have previously used the 4-10l water containers too. Great when you buy a 5l aquapure container, freeze it and have nice cold water for the trip as well as a good block of ice too
  22. The rule is BSReally its only slightly different gear to catching a squid which looks like the bait used. If you swim in the ocean there will be sharks, that shark wouldnt have been attracted by 1 squid floating, chases are it was already in the area :/
