The Bream Reaper got a reaction from Bait Caster in BIGGEST BREAM FROM WEST LAKES!
There's heaps of massive bream that size in the lakes... They usually school just under the kingfish, and feed off the scraps left by the 10 foot plus bronze whalers that follow them. Or so I've heard.

6wt will be fine. Use a floating line and gentle presentation. usually if they are feeding on the bottom then the fly needs to be dropped gently in front of them or in their path, usually just a little jiggle of the fly catches their attention. Too much movement or splashing often scares them. With floating bread flies I just chuck them out and wait for them to smash them.....

The Bream Reaper got a reaction from Bait Caster in waist bucket for fly line when surf fishing
Go to Ikea
Buy $2 (or thereabouts) childs toilet step.
Drill some drainage holes, use thick cable ties to prevent tangles, cut slot for belt in concave part.
PERFECT!!!. Can cut slots on side and rest reel inside tub with rod over top as convenient holder whilst you re-rig. Sits perfectly against your hip like it was made for fly fishing.
Here is my Thomas The Tank stripping basket.... al under $5
You're welcome

I have started doing more of this type of thing also.
Last thing I made was a rod tube that attaches to my bike. Bit of PVC pipe, the right fittings, glue, brackets and a hack saw it was all done for 20 bucks.
Doesn't look pretty but saved a bit of money.
What you did here is a great idea!

Just dragged out my Bellbrook and checked it and it certainly has different hardware, as you have noted, TBR.
ChuckT's example certainly seems closer to the mark.
Cheers

Agree with Cal - looks suspiciously like a Bellbrook to me too...
Dunno whether they were made in Japan, though.
Back in the day (1960's to 70's), they were the "go-to" lure for Barra up in North Queensland. I still have a black with white stripes model in a tackle box somewhere.
Cheers

The Bream Reaper got a reaction from Brankim in A few recent fly captures
Hey all,
Been a while since I have posted on here so I thought I'd post up a couple of pics of fish I have caught in the last couple months. This warmer weather has brought out the bugs and this makes for some fun dry fly action. Had a seven fish session, all in about an hour and a half, a few weeks back which was crazy as the fish were just smashing stuff off the surface
