just got back from port giles.. the jetty was open the hole way threw to the end. managed 3 KG whiting and too many tommies. didnt fish it hard enough was on the boat most of the time.. Also just found out from locals down there, the jetty wont be open till next year in march due to grain ships going in and out everyday. :ohmy: :ohmy: spewing

tutty i paid 30 dollars for this band new at k-mart http://www.amazonoutdoors.com.au/Product/Fishing-Gear/Rods/Tsunami4/Tsunami-Odyssey-Travel-Series-, on this website its a bit expenisive but ive seen this in combos at ray and annes for 60 something dollars, its a really good rod for how much it is and i use it everywhere i go and its so much fun with any fish , especially salmon and bream . great little flick stick

for snapper Shimano TR 200g Spooled with 25 pound braid fitted with a shimano spectrum PLUS . that was the first rod and reel i baught, i was 11 :0Whiting, Sabre 3-4 kilo, Shimano Calcutta Beach rod , Daiwa Sensor surf, with Abu Garcia 7000i 30 pound mono Sharking:Some fully rolled Road i have and a shimano TLD 50A 2-speed have another shark rod but need to purchace another reel for it i have many other but there the main ones i use

thats a normal thing mate nothing to worry aboutmine did the same thing but it needs to be changed now ive had it for a while and slowly starting to fray in some parts. keep smiling mate its alright :laugh:

EASTER TIME !! im heading down to my beach house down at coobowie for a couple of days of fishing land based and boat. hopefully to go and hook up on some snapper, best of luck..

i bought a sensor surf combo the beggining of the year and its a probly one of the best rods ive bought. it has a relativly flexi tip and feels great when a fish is on,, very light rod aswell so easy to carry on the rocks

boat or land based mate?reckon Sunday might be my day too. Reckon that rain this week was a sign of things to come :pinch: 13C tomorrow morning, nice and brisk to keep the fair weather brigade in bed till lunch ill be land based sunday mate, my dad is too lazy to take out the boat hopefully the wind will be kind aswell but ye c how it goes
