  3. The government did it in Qld. with no fishing license either
  4. As a kid back up in Whyalla, I remember specially built pontoons used to be towed out with car bodies on them, they would be moored at the foreshore in the evenings with a car body and empty in the morning.
  5. I have 3 favorite rods after a couple of years of juggling rod combos and it doesn't matter which one I'm using, it's equality good fun.The Catana 2-4 kg fitted a Sienna 2500FD loaded with 8 LB suffix braid, I use it mainly for squidding and chucking lures around from time to time. The next one is Revolution inshore Tcurve 4-7 kg with a Symetre 3000 loaded with 15 lb Suffix braid and mainly used it for for whiting, chucking lures around and anything else that jumps on the hook. And the one that gets the most work out on snapper is the Bluewater Snapper overhead 5-8 kg with a hot roded ABU7000 lo
  6. Pretend u know what your doing, I do it all the time.
  7. After a couple hundred casts, I,m fine this morning 4THA, :woohoo: This evening, you should give trihull fisher some lessons.
  8. There good fun to use, I wanted to get and try the daiwa double clutch, as phear had one while we were out in the Crusader trolling for snook, got hit pretty quick with a big ST before the weed became a problem.
  9. lol they just got the camera Kingsley... it'd be a pity if my Ugly mug broke it so soon. Last time I looked the view had the venetian blinds reflected in it :whistle:you know a good window cleaner AFF :woohoo: :woohoo: I was thinking the same thing Then again we want to see the ramp
  10. Have been out there in the past, fished around the tides and landed medium size trevally,Make sure you have a trip on your anchor, as it will get stuck
  11. Should of left the hook in your finger so we could practice pulling it out.
  12. I expect some reports after the weekend, good or bad Good luck guys
  13. You'll catch squid anywhere along the Adelaide coastline around any broken bottom,I catch my squids anywhere from the Goannas to Semi reef, just drifted for them and you'll find them or they'll find you. Go through the metro posts and you'll see the reports.
  14. 15.26kg  Thats a big fish, thanks for the update
  15. Had a few gutted hooked snapper using 6.0s and now I,m using 8'0s which just about put an end to that problem. So maybe try bigger circles.

    Boat rego

It was $25 for boat rego back in 95 and I think the following year the levy came in at $25 per year, which I didn't mind paying, Now I pay nearly $200 and rising every year
  18. http://www.amazonoutdoors.com.au/Product/Fishing-Gear/Terminal-Tackle/Clips/SHOGUN-HAWAIIAN-SNAPI only get size 2 & 3, 2 is 40lb and is quite small, 3 is 80 lb.I am hoping that Sports Fishing Scene will get them in, as I prefer to buy local.
  19. The baid doesn't get hooked up in the Hawaiian as it does with most clips,There are only 2 Hawaiian clips on the market that are worth buying, the Shoguns and Yo zuri, they don't have any protruding parts for the braid to get caught in them when the line gets slack Shoguns are cheaper and no one stocks them in Adelaide. B)Also like Just Me said "Reliability and strength. I've had too many snap swivels let go on anything half decent".
  20. Yes that will be the weak link, I'm using the same you are 30lb Suffix 832 tied simply with a palomar knot to a hawaiian clip, the leader is a 60 lb mono tied to a swivel with just a half blood knot, for targeting snapper ect.Had it snagged a few times or a bloody ray that I can't be bothered bringing it in, so I,ve had to wrap the braid around a cleat to bust it of with the wave action, it's that strong. The main line has the clip, like Just Me said, it's for quick changing of rigs.We are using nothing much over 8 kg TCurves rods with carbon drag washers fitted to ABU 7000 for water up to 17 m
  21. The same goes for the Goanna areas, had reports of boats nearly running over them at night. :blink:I haven,t run over any yet, but it's a matter of time before I do as I go out in the dark or come back in the dark.Has anyone done any damage from running over them ?
