  1. I just did a little google search and found..... This link for similar sold on ebay for $125 second hand about 2 years ago. So gather brand new would be $200 - $270 ?? (but I really don't have any idea) http://www.ebay.ph/itm/Vintage-60s-Seamartin-Monarch-surf-fishing-reel-best-ever-made/261786639392 Then there is a Mark2 for $180. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/172558581544?rmvSB=true
  2. I have a Shimano SonicPro and the eyelets are the same as yours......I've never even noticed that So must be as Kelvin says and at least we're keeping up with "trend"

  4. Exactly Booma. We pay a cost for the licence, the money goes to (hopefully) more fishery officers, facilities etc. The video is a very worse case scenario and will never happen that way - it's just going to extremes in many comments which can blow out to all proportions unnecessarily. And yes BerneyB, it would be good to have these issues addressed now, but it just ain't happening. Whether it would happen after a rfl was introduced - who knows, but at least there maybe a little more 'sway' seeing people will be paying for a licence and expecting more results.
  5. I wouldn't mind paying for a licence providing that money goes back into proper management and research, facilities etc. But if it were to go ahead with an app like the video mentions it would be just too hard and ridiculous for the recreational fishers. Might be easier to just to drink more and watch the TV fishing repeats
  6. Good link LL, and I reckon I have come across the link before, but some write-ups. Agree with UP that the not so successful trips should be there too
  7. Yeah, I don't keep bream very much either, infact very rarely, but that looks very nice - even with the "horno" in the name
  8. Thanks bad luck Panga especially when you would have enjoyed the trip. Hope you fell better soon mate.
  9. Nice catch of yabbies and should keeping you going for a while. Enjoy the adventure with Wilda up at Blanchetown (nice spot)
  10. Nice work around on the tank - can't wait to see you on the news motoring to England and of course back again
  11. Good video and well put together - some nice fish also
  12. They have great formation - love the clouds looking like that or similar, rather than the plain Jane blanket cover.
  13. lol, yes you may have to pace yourself a little - and definitely no All Bran for brekky !! My first 3 choices would be Thai Green Crab, the Tomato, Garlic & White Wine as first choices or Crab Bisque (in that order) and then the rest
  14. mmm, they do read nicely for recipes. I'm sure you'll 'fun' trying those especially with all the crabs you're catching. Enjoy them on Aussie Day

    Moon phases

I always just look at the tides with no interest in the moon and what it can or can't do for fishing. If the fish are biting then it's a good day/night. Good theory Panga, as when I haven't caught any fish the usual reason is one of those you mention, if not all as well
  16. I'm just glad I have stock from last year. I only use for bait, but if I did collect to consume these cockles I would be very hesitant to collect and cook up even after the ban was lifted.
  17. Another great write up with fantastic detail/info + very nice photos. I'll tell you, if I ever ponder over to Tassie for a trout session, all I need to do is take along your reports for all the info needed - and I'd probably see you already fishing being that it is your daily 'exercise'
  18. You do make my mouth water Chef Panga
  19. Very nice and colourful sunset. Have a great day tomorrow Adrian and to all your family.
  20. Sounds great. Slow start but the smiles were huge in the end
  21. Yep, that's the post. I was putting in all sorts of words in search and wasn't coming up with anything. But yeah, dermatitis was the problem - I couldn't remember what the condition was, but a post about 'similar'. Anyway, it was just a thought hoping it may have helped.
  22. I like the idea and have seen many gloves of different materials with sections cut out of the fingers. I hope your version with the ninjas work for you especially with the condition you have had handed down to you. Personally, I don't wear gloves during winter, only because I like to have the 'feel' with all fingers and hands. There was a post 'somewhere' with someone in a similar conditon with their hands after all the salt water etc, but buggered if I can find it for you - had many suggestions for the skin - lotions etc. (I'll keep looking for it as you never know there maybe som
