Beach fishing is about the only time that I ever use mono instead of braid any more. With the wind that often comes up on surf beaches, braid knots can be a real pain in the bum.

Okay, all fixed! Also, if anyone knows any more cams feel free to post them and I will add them to the list.

Fishing isn't housework? ... I might be in trouble...

Oh that's gotta feel goood! \m/ Well done Knackers!

Saw what I was pretty sure was one of them off the slips in Port Lincoln many many moons ago. Was very cool watching it just squirt along and then suddenly BAM, gone in a flash.

I think, but don't quote me on this, the one on the left is part of the new range. All of the colours changed very slightly at one point and I believe it's because they started using a different plastic. So chances are one of the packets you got was an older pack and one was a newer pack.

This happened:

Easiest way to handle them without getting spiked if you intend on keeping them is with a wet rag around your fingers and a thumb in their mouth. Without the rag they can shred a little bit of skin but that's about it, so you don't even really need it. Lip grips are good too if you want to get fancy.

Wild Coast Fishing SA - On sale before Easter
Ugly4Life replied to bjorn2fish's topic in Fishing SA magazine (Wild Coast)
Just had a look through our back issues (at North Haven) and we don't have any Wild Coast sorry. -
 Well done! Biggest bream I think I've ever seen.

Lol' date=' I could write a ten page essay on this topic. It's something I've devoted a lot of time thinking about, since I am one of those people who are constantly connected. I will save everyone the bore and not do it here, since a fishing forum is not really the place for a detailed analysis of our interconnected lives! :PI will just say that, whether people like it or not, the future is digital. That's where jobs are heading, services are heading, products are heading. Burying our heads in the sand to that fact is (ironically) not facing reality and leaves our kids with the problem of cat

I've got to pull you up on this because that's not the only thing that the youth want and I don't think generalizing helps. A lot of people, myself included, aren't pirates at all but still have use for this type of high bandwidth. I'd love to run my own twitch.tv channel for gaming for instance, something which I could never do on my current connection. I'd love to be able to have a seamless video link with any of my friends or family any time. I'd quickly take advantage of many services that would only be available with a very large bandwidth, including medical services and education service

http://www.politifact.com.au/truth-o-meter/statements/2013/aug/17/malcolm-turnbull/will-labors-nbn-cost-94-billion/Keep in mind that I want the NBN. I want FTTH, not FTTN... but the costs associated are bigger than Labor wants to admit and I think they'd be better off being up front about it, rather than keep on trying to dodge that particular political bullet.

Sarah Hanson-Young's ads playing every 30 damn seconds aren't doing her any favours. I swear I'm gonna throw a brick at my TV the next time I hear that girl talk about asylum seekers or watch some dude give a triple piggy back.

You're probably right. I have only heard 'on the grapevine' about Mullies and Kingfish.
-
That's the smallest size waxwing (the others don't have trebles). I have caught plenty of ST's on them in that colour and have heard of Mulloway and Kingfish being caught on the larger sizes. The action on them is a very strong zig-zag which, in theory, should drive any predator crazy especially if it's moving fast. I have one of each size in that colour, but only really had a chance to try out the small one so far.

I have this problem intermittently as well and usually completely clear my browser history, cache, cookies etc and it goes away. I reckon it's a Chrome problem more than anything else as I tend to experience hiccups on other websites as well.

and the taste of flathead makes it worth the effort as flathead fillets are quite pricey at the seafood stores at the moment 38.00 dollars a kg last time i sawDefinitely. No better eating fish in the sea IMO. Also really, really fun to catch on soft plastics and light gear.

I doubt it. As I posted in the link above: I am sure that they would put baiting into the same category.

St Kilda - Chapman Creek Aquatic Reserve open for land based fishing!
Ugly4Life replied to Ugly4Life's topic in Industry News
Hmm, I get what you mean. I think this is going to get very confusing for tourists (of which we have many) without some serious signage being put up around the place: -

"from the breakwater" - sounds pretty darn specific."when tide conditions are suitable" - meaning when tide conditions aren`t suitable...one obviously can`t fish from the breakwater. Reinforces the first bit.Does sound quite specific but I wonder whether they'd considered that people regularly wade out there and rake for crabs now, which undoubtedly does more damage to the bottom (the intent of the reserve in the first place) than simply wading and flicking a lure. I might jump into the PIRSA thread now and post this question for some clarification.
