Cmon on softy I know you want it

This combo has been sitting in storage and not getting any use like I planned
ive used it once to dial in casting and never hooked a fish
thinking it is extra to my needs and I need new wheels for my mountain bike
not sure what it would be worth to sell
hit me up if your interested and we can work a deal. Rod and reel only

Amazing post Des
yfw flats fishing is easily my favourite form of fishing and these days I just don’t have the time like I used to
posts like this certainly give me some motivation, thanks mate

They're very popular/useful at Parham for launching/retrieving boats, didn't think they were used for fishing but I spose they could be.
They started out as a way to launch boats and are still used this way but in the last few years I have seen a increase of them being used to take families and groups of people out and then used as a platform to fish from as well as like a home base for swimming, kayaking etc

I use some similar plastics on yfw
i use both nedrigs and normal plastic jig heads
i work them slowly back with puffs in the sand and the yfw love them

Yep, gulp turtlebacks work and as softy said nedrigs work well too

Is it going to be open for fishing? I thought this was only opening for walking and riding? I hope they do allow yaks and fishing. Only problem will be how accessible it is, it will get smashed

I too have been struggling to find a shoulder bag in local tackle shops
seems like no one is really stocking them atm
the only place that had one was tackleworld on port road but because it was a ‘trout’ bag in the fly section it had a price tag of nearly $250
i think I will end up ordering this one from online

Agree with Savage IF
Yes @Jimmy. IF it goes well
but you mention the kingfish, these fingerlings will be enjoyed by the kingfish
i hope nobody took my comment that I’m against it, just need to look at the overall picture of not just snapper stocks but all species and the way everything has been managed is far far from ideal, also not much point in any restocking if the long liners are given full access again after the ban, it is why we now have a ban

It’s a good start but I wonder how many will survive? They are only 6cm at release
also until the government completely ban long lining it will not matter how many fingerlings they release because as soon as the ban lifts in 2023 the pros will just go back to their old ways and smash the snapper again

That reel is beautiful Des
you not using the zodius rod anymore?
i have not fishing the flats that much since I got mine but I’m still not 100% sure on it
did you have problems pulling hooks when you used yours?
for a 3-6pound rod I do find it a bit stiff through the tip

You"ve got the 1000 stradic? That size scares me in that it feels so tiny in shop and worried I'd not enjoy it.
Love 1000 size reels, I run two different model stradics and they are my favourite

Yes mate, have caught YFW and Salmon trout with it, would work on the old bream in the correct situation
