  3. haha had this happen today, rocked up to a spot today where a few people where bait fishingflicked out a plastic and hooked up to a little bream first cast watching their faces when i hooked up was funny but their faces when i released it where total shock. lol it made me chuckle
  4. nice work mate, i thought they looked good in your original post but look even better hanging out the gob of a good bream. mmmmm the rocks in the fog look interestingly familiar lol
  5. Well done RhettGreat video and some nice tuna
  6. Nice fish mate well doneArdrossan seems to be producing quite well at the moment I might have to find some time to get over there again
  7. I only changed the trebles on my sugapen once they got rusty. I have changed to a smaller owner treble as i felt the original ones were a bit big.One thing i have learnt with yfw on lures is to make sure to really set the hook, once i get hit and am hooked up i usually give the rod a good jerk to really set the hook as the yfw have a uncanny nack of throwing trebles when they are at your feet. With all this talk of yfw on lures lately i think (cough cough) i might be in for a sicky later this week :vomit:
  8. There are days where the yfw will just smash the lure and other days they will follow it and check it out then shy away. If you get this happening speed your retrieve up a little as it will usually make them compete against each other and have a go at itAlso under 10-12 knots usually makes it easier to work the lure
  9. No problems, i took a mate out to a northern beach this afternoon to help him get his first yfw on lure. We got there about an hour and a half later than we would have likes (bloody work) and it wasnt looking to good as there was a bit too much wind stirring the surface. He got two on bait around 26cm and finally after the wind dropped i hooked up on a surface lure. I got two both 35cm and dropped two more due to not setting the hooks properly. he finally got one which we didnt measure but looked slightly bigger than both of mine. They are definitely out there and happy to take lures. My mate
  10. Not on soft plastics but i have caught garfish on surface lures over at the Pines on YPWas flicking along the blue line and was very surprised when I caught it. If they will hit a surface lure then it would only make sense for them to have a look at a sp

  14. Yep I regularly buy my sp's from Kmart and bigW due to their pricing. With the Sienna BCF just had them for $69 with a rod included I very rarely buy on line due to most of my purchases being on the spot decisions as I drive past a tackle shop
