looking for new reel

Recommended Posts

Hey Ross,Have a look at the Daiwa Aird. http://daiwafishing.com.au/?p=8856I've got a 2500 and its a great little reel and retails for just under a hundred bucks. The only other reel I would suggest would be a Shimano Stradic Ci4.http://www.shimanofish.com.au/publish/content/global_fish/en/au/index/products/reels/spinning/Stradic_CI4.htmlI have a 2500 and a 4000 of these reels and they are awesome. Both have pulled Snapper to 10 kilo plus and not missed a beat. These retail anywhere up to $289.

I have always used Shimano and love my little Stradic 1000 but recently bought a 2000 Aird to replace an aging reel. Havnt used it yet but had a play and feels really smooth. This will be used from my yak so will soon see how it holds up in the salt as im sure it will end up dunkedWill update once it has been used a couple of times and for the current going price of $$99 you can go wrong
