Good little videos Adrian. You could always use no background music..? Personally have it silent when I watch them.
Do you have a swivel in your line there in the "Browns on rapala" vid?
I only put the music to these small clips because I edited them from my full version videos.. Probably should have left them as they were..
Yes I do use a swivel with the hard body lures as it saves time when changing lures as I often do.. they haven't made any difference to the action or my catch rate either.. also saves me taking my reading glasses with me too.. I was actually a bit slack that day too as I also left the anti kink set up on as well.. something I never use with hard body lures , only used with the blade spinners..

Sorry about the background music on the Mersey River one, in the process of trying to find one without copyrights.. That one was one of them.. didn't like it, so trying another one.
may have to do the others too...

Great photo UP..

The black & Whites certainly do take on another dimension of a photo. I particularly like the 3rd (bridge) and 8th (mountain).
And that's a fairly big fat football your holding.
That big old football came over from Victoria, it was one of many I got as a kid from my uncle who was then the secretary of the Footscray Football Club back then..

As much as I like photos full of colour I also have a liking for black & white photos as there's just something to like about them..
maybe it's because they bring back some good memories of days gone by when all photos were in black and white and even sepia...
Today's cameras bring out the best in black and white too... Any way here's a few to start with and I'll add to the list every so often..
The bottom ones are of me when I was a little fella.. boy that was quite some time ago..

Hey Craig,
Great to see you have got some fish in and good to hear that they are swimming around nosing the surface, sound like you have some happy fish. Might pay to go down to your pond in the morning and following mornings (if your not at work) to check out if the see if the fish are swiming right on/breaking the surface, the fish may school up so that would help to spot them. Let me know if they are. Also, check to see if cormorants are drying their wings in the nearby trees. Just show a bit of presence if they are. With those massive daphnia, your fish should be putting on some weight soon. Keep us updated about your fish, cheers
Trav
They're nice little 'bows wilda.. should grow quite nicely..
Spot on, check for the Cormorants for sure, they'll clean out a dam in no time at all.. can eat up to three times their own body weight per day..
They've cleaned out many dams here not long after being stocked..
cheers

I'm sure it will run a little deeper too, the bib angle is close to the Rapala F-3 lure.. how it goes, well only time will tell I suppose.. it may just want to go around in circles..
I have tried it out in the bird bath and the kitchen sink by hand and it did have some action to it, they weren't large enough though, really need to give it a crack in a river, but that will have to wait until the season opens..
I'm pretty confident it will work..
cheers

Some time back during the brown trout season I had three new Daiwa Gekkabijin Yoguri 4F hard body lures of which two were lost to fish taking then into snags under water and the last one
finished up with a broken bib thanks to me... It was during a session while fishing low water that had a lot of cotton like algae in it and it kept fouling the lure. After some forty minutes of fishing and
cleaning the algae from the lure on every retrieve I belted the lure on the water surface to clean it the quick & easy way. Trouble is, by doing that it broke the small bib off the lure making it useless.
So today I thought I'd have a go at repairing it myself by making a bib and gluing it in place. Using a hacksaw blade I made a small cut where the bib had broken off flush just in front off the eye and then found a small thin piece of clear plastic which I hand filed to a shape that I thought may work. Didn't think to get one of the new replacement lures out to see what they looked like which was dumb.. any way made on and glue it into place and it came up reasonably well.. I think it did as I'm yet to test it out and I will do that once the season reopens on 5th August.. here's a photo of the original lure and the one that's been repaired.
The repaired lure has a little more angle to it than the new lure..

That's an interesting write up Barney and it's it's been found here in Australia too.. Well one species of it has and more than likely in the North of Australia..
The range of Phallus indusiatus is tropical, including Africa (Congo,[21] Nigeria,[31] Uganda,[32] and Zaire[33]) South America (Brazil[24] Guyana,[34] and Venezuela[35]), Central America (Costa Rica),[36] and Tobago.[37] In North America, its range is restricted to Mexico.[38] Asian localities include Indonesia, Malaysia,[39] India,[8] Southern China, Japan,[22] and Taiwan.[40] It has also been collected in Australia.[41]

Seeing it was a cool sunny day and I was feeling a little bored I two my two cameras to Gowrie Park in the hope if may find some fungi to photograph..
Well I did manage to find a few fungi here and there as I wandered through the rain forest in what was very cool, damp conditions just below Mt. Roland. I just love going there as the air always smells fresh as ever..
O'Neils Creek which flows through it had a nice flow to it as well and It was great to sit on a log next ti the fern lined creek for some 15 minutes and take it all in.. very refreshing for the mine, body & sole..
So here's a few of some 50+ photos taken this afternoon... There wasn't a real lot of fungi around today which was a shame.. still got a few good photos I think..
cheers
Adrian
O'Neils Creek at Gowrie Park..
All the fungi I found today, not a lot but enough for some photos..
A couple of moss pic's
Took all the colour out of this and filtered out the red which made them pure white..
