Just watched Korean cook's video where she used rock salt to 'grind' out the tentacle cups.
This will be tonight's dinner, with some smoked ST for entree. I spoil my wife.

Interesting question. I would have said no, but I did 2 trips up the river in 2 weeks which was 4 days plus 3 days fishing, then another fly fishing for 2 days, plus Seacliff, so I did at least 10 days in a month so if I keep that up that it exceeds 100 days for the year.

Was just looking at these for the yak, PVC for toughness, (Anaconda and BCF seem to have the thinner nylon style ones); $13.50 delivered for 5L

I ended up buying a full backpack dry bag as weight is not an issue.

Looks good. I've been painting a few myself to try. The red tube on the treble is a good idea to mimic fin flash.

I'd expect the OSP is better tuned, but I can tell you the knock offs I use have a great action and catch fish. I've not yet tried on YFW but I've painted a couple up for the next session.

Mass production! A school of pished pillies

Why so many? Well I am marketing them as a fashion accessory, catches fishies and the ladies!

I think I've found a clear coat I like but it takes a week to set so it's yet to be proven but it's way better than the other epoxy I tried. Marine varnish was a complete failure for durability, hook rash was terrible.

It's my take on local nipper colours. The lines came out thicker than I wanted so I'll remake the stencil.

Spent the weekend at Edithburgh. Apparently the plastered pilchard (pseudo bent minnow) works ludicrously well:

Yep even a squid took the lure. Total for the was 10 snook, best 56cm, 10 salmon best 40cm, and 1 squid (more on the trad lures). Taking orders lol!

On a family walk around Westlakes today and came across the below.

Majority of the school was 30 and above, with a few genuine brutes that too the eye were mid 40s!!
They were just milling about, with no obvious reason for them to be there. I sat and just watched them for about 15 minutes, completely mesmerised.
For those that target Bream often, is this a normal occurrence?

Bloody things are everywhere, undersized whiting are probably the most common fish I catch. Agree with David that once you suss out where they hang out getting a feed isn't too hard, you can even choose between lots of smaller ones you need to get the measure out for, or fewer but much larger models you only need the camera for.
Just this Saturday  (glorious day) drifting around in about 3m off Port Gawler my Dad managed a 35cm model, among other stuff, on an SP, If that is a thing that can happen so close to Adelaide then they must be doing OK.

The thing with veggie scraps is the decomposition creates heat which the worms hate and until it's decomposed they can't eat it as they feed off the bacteria. The exception is bananas and some other fruits which break down extremely fast. I feed mine compost that is mostly done but still moist.
