I dont think youd have much chance as they r fragile and fussy as all hell. I suppose if it could be dont the bait companies wouldve targeted it by now. But good luck and keep us posted
Ive fished Wedge island and the waters around it. Toatally killa fishing with everything from big reds, kingies to big KG's. hell whatever u hook onto turns iout to be big 99% of the time. Be prepared for bust offs and sore back and arms.
oh dmac forgot to say-to make em last better i put a small layer of sand (couple mm) in and ol ice cream container along with a small layer of the weed im getting them from-the weed thats in contact with sand as its damper and more refined
yep-move the sea weed and there they are :)Seriously though hunt around the dead weed heaps on shore. I move the weed and dig about 1/2 spade depth to dig em out. Only take what u think you'll need as these fellas dont keep well and ive seen whole areas stripped clean and they dont rebuild populations at all well
I use 40 - 50mm Riley's Cone Pop Toppers in all sorts of colours-my fave is Silver Baitfish colour. Havent scored a salmon yet but its only a matter of time i reckon as they have a great action and cast well.
how about rigging the camera to a clamp that way you can swap it to wherever u want it used and it'd still be secure. maybe do a few trial runs for ideas to work with with a super cheapie from the discount shops or a second hand one. Once youve ironed out the problems then look around for a good model-wonder if diving stores etc have any ideas-may be wortk a try??
Hell i'd make out its not there until temps hit 35C or over for a quick thaw lol. Maybe a bucket of hat water could speed things up-if theres no chance of killing the freezer that is
yeah i checked the waders but only small sizes left when i was there. I scored the light as well - the last one and believe it or not it doesnt work-lucky lucky me lol
