Cant remember what size as ive lost the packet but have used the really small ones for whiting for awhile nowIm a big fan always in the corner of the mouth and havnt had one throw the hook yet.Can be a bit difficult to bait up as they are so small i will go the next size up with the next packetHave also used 6/0 on snapper and once again was very happy

Yep steaming is the way to go.The best part about about steaming is you dont get water absorbtion.Meat comes out firmer and in my option with a better flavour due to not having the meat soaking up the water while the water is recovering back to full boil.In my days as a chef I never boiled any of my shellfish but i was spoilt by having a commercial steaming oven to use (even for my private catches)

Well said JackI do not normally post on threads like this due to the dribble butFrom reading through this, the one observation is I would say mully due to the comments from the person who hooked itHe has stated it had yellow fins and was very silver, in my experience of fishing the lake both landbased and from a yak for many years the big bream in the lake are very dark bronze in colour due to being in there so long, my guess if it was a black or YF bream of 60cm it would be extremely dark in colour.I'm not saying it wasn't a bream but its sounds very much like a mully to me
  18. My favourite types are all fairly simply fors of fishingNo.1- any form of fishing with my kids love the smile on their faces when they catch oneNo.2- Yak, yak, Yak LOVE itNo.3- Very closely follows the yak fishing and thats wading flats chasing yfw on poopers
