Zodias is a good rod. Just better options for YFW. Take it out if Bream and Flathead are in a spot.
Yes it was pulling hooks. I have moved to 7" 6" ultra light rods for YFW. 
Longer casts and most importantly more shock absorption when those big ones run hard in close. Rarely pull a hook now.
The 2 standard rods in my wading tub at present are:
Samaki Zing Xtreme SZX-762SFR-SPIN 7'6" 2pce Line 2-6lb  Lure 1-7 gms
Abu Garcia Eradicator Real Finesse ERFS-76LT-TZ  7' 6" 2pce Line 0.6-3lb Lure 0.1gm-12gm (66gms)

I have just had my first issue with one of my small 1000 stradic ci4+
the rotor has become wobbly
once I had a chance to look at it I found there is a nut that had come loose, tightened it up and she is as good as new 

Oh, I had 2 words for it too: 'Butt plug' 😮

Love 1000 size reels, I run two different model stradics and they are my favourite
 

As anorher helper (^^^ like TL) my favourite combo includes a Shimano 1000. Some will say you will have casting issues with a small spool but personally have not had any ...  YET. A great size reel to use and should generally be enough for the bream and generally the bycatch too. Regards HBt.

I’ve looked at the vanford 1000 a few times now, I’m so tempted, even a bit more now since a found an issue with my stradic on the weekend, has a bloody wobble. Grrrr now I need to strip it down

OK, a few pics here too since this is a new design. The reel seat is like the Fuji seat on the Zing Xteme Gen II,

except Daiwa doesn't have the scallops, it's 'ergonomic' and at first I thought it silly, but damned if it don't work well. Even the fact that there's no EVA  is a good thing as you are more directly connected to the line, then again I wear sun gloves anyway

note the hook keeper is behind the reel so that the line cant catch on it unintentionally...anyway your hand grips the curves in a very natural way, hard to show but...

Yes, gone light for up the warren and will also take this combo in the boat for coorong mullies if I need a bit heavier than the normal light gear I throw down there

I've been meaning to put this on the site for some time, forgot all about it..
Not for the want of trying I finally caught and released a decent size wild brown trout for a change. Even better was the fact it was my personal best of the season so far. Still hoping to break the one kilo mark & better before the season ends on the last Sunday closest to the end of April 2021. The larger three rivers (Meander, Mersey & Leven) I fish do hold a few trout well over the kilo size, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.

Bugger that suck mate. Never done any returns at Tackleworld but the guys are pretty good down there.
 
I got some 6lb J-Braid x8 grand on my reel this morning, damn it's thin i wont be trying leaders on without my glasses.  

Not fishing related but an awesome experience I had a couple years ago was having a swim with these giants in Cebu

The person on the phone had no idea if we could go back to training legally or not and cited the sport related example that they had been given earlier that morning.
