Hi fellas, thought I would kick start an old thread and see what you guys have been catching. This is my biggest mully, didn't get the weight but was 141cms tip to tip. Caught on the west coast a few years ago, been a mulloway drought for me since then unfortunately. A lack of fishing doesn't help, hahaha, cheers

Interesting subject this one. The list could be endless. Sometimes you need to really thrash a product and only realize once it's gone that it's a true classic especially when the newer replacement doesn't measure up.
Couple of items come straight to mind like the dual blend composite 540 sabres, saltiga z series pre mag oil reels, stella gold sw series. Shame they changed both these models to be honest.
Nearly forgot. Also use a little shimano bantam 10x that I bought when I was a kid. Still wish they made these also.

yeah Pauly,they were between 15-25cm and pretty skinny as well.After some rough weather some bigger ones might come in but as you say they are usually all size by now.

They still small brenton ?? I was there few months ago and they were just under.. thort by now we would have mainly legal fish

So This is my new setup for my Rod Building System.  The Ally Base is perfect as the stations are on rollers so i can just slide the station from side to side.
 

 

 

 
The rod I am building is an Wilson MT 6110 This will be my Salmon lure Flicking Rod. THe rod Is going to have a black and Silver theme.... Keep an eye on this thread for updates as i do it all!
