Boyington214 0
Read the guys feedback Crispy. Can tell a whole story.Personally, never used Pelagic gear but haven't heard a lot of positives from other users either.I think it would be buyer beware.PLEASE NOTE THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION ONLY crispy and Boys Day Out

Juninho 0
I brought one a while ago now, cost me $16 including postage...does the job, nippy, light, not bad casting lures as well, awesome fun with salmon trout, bream and whiting...for that price they arent too bad rods...id rate them in the same category as the stuff you find at kmart. crispy
Jimmy. 173
I have one of the fully rollered versions, cost me $80. Its taken on some very large rays and mates have used them too for big sharks no issues. only think is it weights ALOT more than the T-curve that a mate replaced his with. The smaller rods seem great value though! crispy
silaflex 103
I bought one a few years ago. I didn't have huge hopes for it as it was only 20 something bucks. But even those low hopes were shattered. What a piece of sh1t!I thought it would be whippy. About as whippy as a piece of cooked spaghetti.Might be ok for a 5 year old as a sprat rod coupled with one of their 2000 sized reels that are about the size of a 5000. You know, the ones that have that little tight spot on every revolution of the handle.
trihull 177
Have had two (2) of their rods for about 4 years, no problems with it at all, nice whiting rod, good cork grips, (yes, still in tact)I suppose it comes down to type & style of rod you buy and how you look after it..So , I would say the small amount of money I paid , has definitely paid for itself... fisho86 0
Hi I brought a palagic rod from ebay a while ago it lasted two sessions so personally I wouldn't recommend buying one support your local stores mate at least if something goes wrong with what ever you buy from your local tackle shop it's easy to take it back. Thats my opinion anyway.Cheers Fisho afishyfish
eeles 0
Hi as you can see some like them others don`t rate them at all i have the bait caster model that i use for whiting ,they arn`t as whippy as i thought they would be but for the 20$ i paid not a bad rod at all ,i also brought a sambo bait caster rod that i found to be much better for the whiting a lot more flexible and have caught some nice flat head paid the same price as the palegic, the one bit of advice i will share is stay away from the cheap bait caster reels they are offering ,they are cheap and nasty i had that much trouble i just tossed it out the boat!! ShoreJigger 171
My advice is to stay away.I bought a 4-8lb model a couple of years ago.As others have said they are not light and whippy at all.I would have been better off using a broomstick.Used it once and never again.Edit: I think mine was Sambo branded
phatty 0
I have a few of their rods and reels and for the money paid for them I have no complaints at all. Lets just say for the price of a reasonable baitcaster outfit at my local tackle store I now own a baitcaster outfit, a few spinning outfits plenty of braid and mono line and probably have some change to go buy some worms. And they are an Australian owned company too as far as I know so that's a good thing.

jewiehunter 0
if your going to buy a rod for next season why don't u just save 100-150 and buy a half decent rod that will last you ages and if you brake it you can get it replaced! better off doing that than spending 20-30 bucks each month of cheap rods that's just my opinion Yakmando

Scissors 308
If you are looking for a bargain, head to West Lakes Kmart, they have Penn combos for $35, usually they are $79. Rods are pretty good and the reels will last if not abused. For that price I would be going for them over eBay noname gear.

Very lightweight rod, graphite and perfect for chucking big plastics at snap and mullies. It's an absolute ripper and only $70. I have the 2500 Twinpower reel on it lol, that little reel has monster drag! Anyway, yeah, love that Airstrike rod!
SpiderPIG 8
I wouldnt think it would matter too much with rods. I use rays and JW rods and they havent let me down so far. As long as you have a half decent reel should be okay.stay away from ebay reels lol
crispy 2
Ensed up getting a small shakespear unit from fishin wholesaler very nice unit cost a bit more but it works great
alexczarn 146
Well, my General purpose baitfishing rod is a 99c Pelagic Hypaspin...Although for lure fishing and all I would steer clear from them.
