southie THE BANGA got a reaction from Rickster in Prefered Purchased Bait
i tend towards more sauries now as MM said and once they have all gone crap and mushy ill keep it all and make my own burley blocks and what not... as i work in a recycle depot i just grab all the tins and tubs and what not mix all my stuff together and chuck em in the freezer out in the shed

southie THE BANGA got a reaction from Jack. in Snapper Vs Mulloway. Addiction Formula
i love catching mullies have for a few years now.. neva caught a snapps...only because i dnt have a boat or had a chance to.. but one day i would love to catch a big RED.. but then i have caught kingies around the 8-10kg mark when i was a youngin and love that even more...i think they all hold a place in all fishos mind to tick off that checklist in your mind and those few fish would b on every fishos to catch list...

southie THE BANGA got a reaction from Rickster in Surf fishing for Mulloway - Rods. Reels & Tackle ?
and then we head to the mid price range of things... i use my wilson 4120 10'8 rod and then it is matched with a diawa emcast 6500 sport... spooled with 30lb platypus mono.this is my go to rod for alot of bigger fish. have caught mullies from ards jetty with it,have surfaced and stopped the BIG black ray there aswell with this, sambos over the west coast, heading over to salties in 2 weeks with a few fellas from here so will be interesting to see how she goes if i do get onto a decent fish...i also have a 12ft uglystick gold with a penn spinnfisher 850 and thats spooled with 30lb mono aswell..then i have an wilson 4120 OH matched with an abu 7000 and 30lb braid this is for lure casting metals and bait sihing for sambos...

southie THE BANGA got a reaction from Hayles in Fishing off Glenelg, Henley, West Beach, Etc
Welcome btw... gar will eat alot of things, gents, cockles, squid, fish flesh.... they especially love gar flesh... as for rigs it all depends on how finiky and hungry they are.. if they are hungry a normal pencil/burley float will do the job with a longish trace a split shot and size8-10 long shank hook... If they are finiky i prefer use a quill float with a split shot as it is alot lighter and easy for them to pull it down..As for the snapps i wouldnt know i dont have boat and dont get out enough in boats to say :D Gd luck...

southie THE BANGA got a reaction from Bangs8 in Stenhouse Bay Jetty
Hey bud to set you started on fishing around there all u really need is an 7-8ft General purpose combo that will cover alot of the fishinbg you will do around there.. as for rigs i usually use a float rig for tommys gar etc.. a panonoster ig for my whiting and bottom dwelling fish and then u have ur simple squid jags etc etc... You can buy these rigs already made up for a few dollars and all u need to do is connect them to a swivel.. You can catch tommies gar squid whiting rays sharks and all that jaz.. however i guess ur looking at just wanting to catch fish!!! well i hope this helps and if i could b of anymore assitance dont hesitate to ask

southie THE BANGA got a reaction from MickSA in Sunglasses
i wear my spotters for everything... i even use em for safety glasses at work... as im always outside... and if i use those bolloe polarised sunnies i get headaches and what not... with the spotters it completly reflects the sun and since i work in a shed and outside its light enough that i dont have to take em off in the shed... Best 280 i invested in for my eyes as im prone to massive headaches and migrains

that politics for ya m8 unfortunantly.... however like i said in my post b4 it happens because no one takess it further and puts a PROPPER case to the government and minsiters... if u try well then u can say uve done everything u can... but theres no harm in putting ur case forward and showing your interest in it....
