  1. Great fish on light line. Would have been an awesome fight.I managed to land a 73cm Murray Cod on 6lb on Sunday. Very tense moments.Just love it.
  2. Great shot Twitch. Love the blue to gold change.
  3. Would have been an awesome sight.Did she steal many fish? Thanks for sharing.
  4. Have a flick off the boat ramp breakwall. The one on the left, right up the end. Some nice Salmon Trout around. Got a couple yesterday morning on my way through to Whyalla. Using small HBs and SPs.Also hooked what i believe may have been a small kingie a little while back. Spat the lure after an 8min fight.YFW off the Jetty. Have heard of some kingies hanging around the moored boats at the Jetty.Good luck and let us know how you go.
  5. I was there the other day.Plenty of tommies, squid and gar around. Some nice snook jumping too, chasing gar.Was fishing towards the end.Good luck.
  6. Use very light braid. My light flick stick has 3lb braid. Casts light lures really well.
  7. Been nailed by a Saltwater catfish off Glenelg Jetty about 12 years ago. Had to get the spine cut out. Got it at home in a jar. Absolute agony. Also been bitten by a red back 2 years, not nice at all.Grabbed by an eagles talons that i had rescued. That hurt.I've had close encounters with snakes, stepped on a few over the years. Be careful guys, nature is out to get ya.
  8. Fantastic Photos as always Nev.You should have been on the rocks tonight mate, I thought you'd be there with all the wind.Ended up landing my biggest snapper off the stones tonight. Went 80cm and 5kg.I tried my normal spot for a couple of hours for nothing. Wind was annoying, right in ya face. I was going to call it quits, but decided to try a new spot. Glad i did. First just a panny, at 40cm, then dropped a decent snapper. Almost out of bait, so i chucked on a piece of squid and started to pack up. Drag started to scream, after a few tense moments and some great runs, i finally landed it.So s
  9. Vacuum seal the fillets and they will not get freezer burn and will last a lot longer. We ate some squid the other night that had been in my freezer for 11 months. Couldn't tell it had been in there that long. It's the only way to go. IMOSam.
  10. Awesome shots Nev.Was indeed a great light show.

Sounds great. I have hundreds of photos that i have taken when the fish aren't biting, and when they are too.Sam.
  12. Tried again for a Brown Trout today at a Northern SAFWAA Dam.No Brownies, but got a few rainbows.
  13. Great fish there mate.Love the second pic, cracker trout.
  14. The lures themselves cost me nothing but time. Painting them does, with paint, airbrush equipment, powder paint, etc. They work plain silver too, so don't have to paint, just clear coat.Hooks and rings are minimal when you by a few at a time.Good fun, even better when you get a fish on one.
  15. Here's a few of my latest Blades i have made. The bodies are made out of aluminum, and the heads are lead.My fav shape is the top left one. I think i might make up a whole heap and paint all different colour schemes.Any comments or questions welcome. Also repainted my old faithful spoon the Scorpion gave me a while ago, thanks mate. Hope i didn't remove the mojo, it has caught me some nice fish.
  16. Great shots Nev.When I'm up that way next, well have to catch up for a fish together mate.
  17. Gar, Flathead, Redfin, Salmon Trout, Snapper, fresh Tuna.Gar and Redfin would be our favorites.
  18. Head first. Squid will munch out the spine behind the head, that's where you want your hooks.I normally put out a tommy under a float with no jag on. Bring the squid in close and drop down a squid jag.
  19. With ya hands. Practice, practice and more practice. Can be frustrating at the best of times.Fill an onion bag with fish scraps, wave around in the water and watch for them to poke their heads up. Tease them out with a piece of squid or cockle, and TRY to grab them.Killer bait, and well worth the effort. Some might not think so though.I have got them from Grange, semmi, Henley areas. All our metro beaches will hold them if the sand is fine enough. They don't like the course sand so much.
  20. Great fish Phil.Doesn't get much better than that.
  21. Wow. Some great photos there.Your brother has some talent.
