  3. I also have a Bushy Bait Legend for my spin & finally settled for a Okuma Signature 2-4 kg with a Shimano Calcutta 200XT for a baitcaster :f

  5. Never launched there, but I hear low tide can be a problem. http://www.dpti.sa.gov.au/recboatingfacilities/boat_ramp_locations/yorke__and__mid_north/port_rickaby
  6. Talking to the Mayor, Gary Johanson this morning & stated the same facts as Ugly4Life, but he went on to say there is an agreement or something like a caveat on the boat ramp, that it is to stay as a boat ramp & a car park. The only way CYC can build and change the zoning of the property is through council approval and I get the feeling that wont happen as the council & the Government won't let it happen. I don't have a problem if the Government chucking a million dollars at the break water & let the CYC run the boat ramp, It's a cheaper option than building another new ramp, w
  7. Hi swoopa, Streaky is on our next away agenda & love the area.We normally fish out around the bushes out to Dashwood, depending on the wind direction you can fish the bushes , Eba Is & Pigface IsThe tyre reef isn't too far out either, 34.43.919, 134.14.814.Never fished the bay, I know you can catch a feed in the bay, even snapper.Goodluck Moggy
  8. Hey waspy, have been using Suffix 832 braid now for a couple of years now, can not fault it as I mainly use overhead reels, found other brands that have a course texture about them that courses the reel to whiplash .
  9. What he said.Caught a few big healthy ones around the section bank of late
  10. I can see it's a real passion for ya, keep up the good work & havin a lot of fun
  11. Funny how this subject has just been brought up, One of my favourite OH rods, the Shimano 702 Snapper 5-8 Bluewater series with one piece grip with the gimbal slot, then they changed it to a Revolution Offshore split butt & no gimbal slot, big mistake, had one converted back the slotted gimbal, remember this is an overhead & needs to be put the rod holder the right way round, so it can't turn on ya. That spit butt, hate it on this rod, now it's a inshore rod this year, the bling has taken over, big mistake Shimano.Don't get me wrong, don't mind the split but & don't care on the s
  12. It's a Tubemouth, caught one over at Streaky Bay
  13. I use Shogun Hawaiian snaps on the main line & swivels on the trace line or rigs I have been binning these of my running sinker rigsand attaching these round snaps for the fatter sinker eyes
  14. Have sent in my request / design, I can just see a Moggy rod instead of a Ian Miller design
  15. At least these guys got caught & good to see the police taking time out to care about illegal fishing. Your talking RFL there 4THA, the government would treat that like a thorn in the side & if a RFL came in to play, the Gov. would soon work out it's beening miss managed & wouldn't be able sell it of.
  16. Take it easy Brian, don't get up for us ,& let the rod do all the work Like 4THA said awesome
  17. As always Rocknev, great photos & happy birthday
  18. I,ve seen spare spools for sale at Sports Fishing Scene, worth giving them a call
  19. Depends what the portable fridge draw current is, especially on start up. 1 KVA genny should handle most small fridges. I run a bar fridge of a 800 watt inverter & my car 40 & 90 ltr fridge has each a 350 watt inverter in them which they draw through. As far as running a genny on a jetty, I couldn't think of anything worse with the noise, but you may have different ideas, ever thought about dry ice to keep things cool.
  20. Very nicely put together, well done
