Yeah Ive got full confidence in the 4 strand after a few years of using it - it really suits the way I fish. My experiences have basically been trouble free or as trouble free as things can get with braid😉

    - Theres no "break in" period like my old line "Berkley Fireline"
    - no fluffing
    - it performs great straight after spooling up.
    - limp enough to detect little bites on free falling unweighted lures
    - Consistent breaking strains with no unexpected breaks (Actually there was 1 spool of 6lb I bought early on, that broke at around 4lb)
But the spools I bought before and the 10 spools Ive bought since, have been great. Ive now got it on all my reels

This stuff is right up there with the best Ive used and costs a fraction of the price

I just wish I never had issues with that 1 spool of 6lb - coz everything else Ive bought from the Official Kast King Store has performed well and truly, above the price tag.

I use the leader as well.. Lands 35 kilo kings no probs in 120lb.. Go straight to the kastking web site,, much cheaper than ebay..
I tried the cheap Jarvis walker braid.. Bit too stiff/rigid and doesnt hold up well to rocks etc.. Lost a couple of kings last year to it..
But the Jarvis walker Leader seems to work ok..

Yeah all my lines are Kast King now - from braid to the Flourocote leaders.

I love a bargain - so I always look for the gems in the lower price Bracket - Kast king is one of those - Not as cheap as it used to be but I will continue to buy it if my bulk purchase ever runs out😉

I use the Oceans Legacy size 6 or 8... Or the Shinto size 6 or 8 get the "medium" I trim off the red shiney bits.. Dont like the Trick Bitz.
Cheaper to make.. But I like em.. Im lazy sometimes.. Short skirts mate.. Not too long as they get tangled in the lure..

I have the Ugly Stick wade bag.. It has a little case for lures in its own tight pocket, has velcro straps for extras, has the front pocket and a ruler, well drained, doesnt hold any water....Its light. It works for me..
I carry folding knife, nail clippers, spare spool, drink, 2 x T-towels, pliers and landing net, phone and camera..
Tackleworld Adelaide $59 3years ago.. still as new and its been used heaps...

Bloody things are everywhere, undersized whiting are probably the most common fish I catch. Agree with David that once you suss out where they hang out getting a feed isn't too hard, you can even choose between lots of smaller ones you need to get the measure out for, or fewer but much larger models you only need the camera for.
Just this Saturday  (glorious day) drifting around in about 3m off Port Gawler my Dad managed a 35cm model, among other stuff, on an SP, If that is a thing that can happen so close to Adelaide then they must be doing OK.

On a family walk around Westlakes today and came across the below.

Majority of the school was 30 and above, with a few genuine brutes that too the eye were mid 40s!!
They were just milling about, with no obvious reason for them to be there. I sat and just watched them for about 15 minutes, completely mesmerised.
For those that target Bream often, is this a normal occurrence?

I always use fresh tenderized squid with a little bit of pilchard on my baits, the frozen squid doesnt work as well as fresh... My theory is the pilchard brings them to the bait, the squid hooks them as it stays on the hook better.. If they are fussy and I have a KGW/trevally. Then I use a little bit of that  instead.. I dont boat fish.. Only off the land which is a bit harder to get KGW.. Its been hard this year due to the crowds everywhere... Hoping/wishing next summer is better.. crowd wise...
Last few trips I havnt really fished as much due to the crowds...
We went to Gleesons landing over the Adelaide cup weekend.... My god.. Rundle mall all weekend.. I didnt really fish... too noisy, too many people...
I know the local cray guys and they let me squeeze in and camp next to them.. ALL the other camping spots were full. I counted 27 cars/vans/campers jut at one clearing...
I managed to go out on one of the cray guys boats for the day.. For my efforts I was rewarded with a small cray... By the way.. This year the cray guys have been doing really well as the pro isnt going out and catching them this season.. They have been getting their bag limit every day...
