  1. Hi keenfisho

Haven't used a charter up that way for a while now (my favourite has now shifted from Darwin), but here's a link that may be of assistance:

    http://www.darwinfishingcharters.net.au

Also, depending on what time in August you are up that way, you may be able to catch some of this:

I was up in Darwin during Pitch Black 2012 and 2014 and it was a blast to see some reasonably exotic aircraft at full noise.

    Cheers

P.S. Good luck on your fishing expedition later this week.

  3. Hi Brutus

I admit that this is the first time I have heard of this sort of reaction, but a quick Google appears to confirm it is a relatively common occurrence.

Hopefully someone on this site may be able to help you with a solution - I'll ask around and let you know if I hear of anything.

Good luck in your quest for relief from this problem.

    Cheers

  4. Hi jiron

Apparently there is an accepted common wisdom that as Redfin are cannibalistic, any lure in a Redfin pattern will quite often do the trick. The hard body in the first photo in the post from Meppstas  (above) would tend to support that theory.

Most of the better lure manufacturers offer hard bodies in a Redfin pattern. I have also heard that Trout patterns work well, too.

    Cheers

    af
