Doing a great job with those lures. Look fantastic. If you can do some videos with those lures catching some nice fish, they will sell like hotcakes. Might be an idea to hook up with that young fella doing regular videos on land, kayak & boat fishing "AlexsFishin" ..

    Cheers mate.

Im glad the 1st lot of lures i sold are to fishos that actually fish and catch fish. So hopefully they come back with some good photos videos etc....

I'M hoping to get out alot more myself now that my overtime got taken from me at work. Plus winter trout fishing is alomost upon us so I'll be looking to paint up alot more trout lures...

My biggest issue is finding blanks that not only work bu are going to be readily available for me to get..

Plus i don't want to step on other lure painters feet. Hence why i haven't painted any cod/callop lures...

It's also a case of do you bulk paint say 5 different types of lures in say 3-4 different patterns And sell bulk or do you go with paint what i feel like and try sell it? If it sells great. If not i guess it can be mine to use. Haven't decided yet.

I'll  keep just painting lures and creating my own styles and if i sell a few great! If not no big deal... i know that when i do get a chance to  go out to fish I'll only be using my lures and Rezbait plastics. All my other brand name lures have been packed up and put to the side...

Now i got my painting up to scratch i cant wait for yellowfin season... got some killer designs im mind...

Been using alot of everyday items as stencils... once i get a mic for my go pro i might makea few videos up to run through the processes i go through to paint.

    Well done mate. Awesome!

Those jerk baits look solid. What length they come in at?

Cheers mate come in around 110mm and weigh 10 grams rigged...

Depth around 1-1.5m and come rigged with bbk hooks and quality split rings

Perfect as a twitching jerkbait or a slow roll lure as it has a tight wobble to it...

Certainty will be a snook, flathead, salmon mully killer...

Sold them for 13 bucks a piece with free postage australia wide.

I think i have 4 of those blanks left which is unfortunate as they dont make them anymore 😂 but will find similar.

Once deliveries go back to normal ill load up on more blanks. Im still waiting for my last 500 dollar order to get to me :(

  4. Well it's Official!

Got Rezbaits to put these lures up for sale on his Facebook page and they sold within an hour! Super Stoked to sell my first lot of lures!

With all the practice and trial and error I am getting more confident Everyday with my Lure painting skills and makes me keen on selling a few more. I was hesitant it getting them up for sale but glad i did. All the money goes towards more fishing gear so thats a plus!

Keep an eye out on the For Sale thread you might find some coming up for sale :)

  5. Painted these jerkbait style minmows up in my mullet pattern. I like this pattern and will be keeping it as an staple part of lures that I'll be selling every nowand then.

Most lures will be sold between 8-12 bucks also dependant on wethe or not people need terminal tackle rigged to them. Atleast the bare minimum they will come with split rings as people like to put there own hooks/trebles on...

    20200504_180757.jpg20200504_180732.jpg

I also painted these up for myself some bream crankbaits...

Might get into bream lures a bit more as easy to get ahold of and people bream fish!

  6. Hey all

This is for all you lure mad fishos out there!! Or even people just getting into Soft plastics Fishing!

Mate of mine has been making Soft plastics for the last few months and has been selling multiple lots not only here in SA but all over the Country. It is a hobby for him that makes a few bucks here and there.

These plastics are made here in South Australia and are produced from a backyard shed. The plastic is of High quality and are a great price for a pack. There is a range of styles and colours to suit every situation and the best thing is they are made to order! Below are a few photos of the styles and colours available....

  7. Was painting up some more trout lures tonight and i stuffed the paint job on one of them. So instead of throwing it away i painted over it completely with black paint. Then decided to think outside the box...

Grabbed some pearl paint and well the photo speaks for itself. Well i think anyway 👌

So it is opaque black as the base. Pearl green top. With an pearl Magenta body and gold stripes...

I recko this will be one colour ill paint as one i will sell ;)

  8. Currently at the moment my work has gone the other way and we are dead set flat out we have almost doubled budget for the month and I'm still pumping  out orders and sending them out daily.

The only way we will close is if the Goverment forces us to.

Sparkies are panic buying and trying to finish jobs before they get forced to stop aswell.

Bloody crazy and according to our other branches there not busy. Must be because We are in town...

Looking sweet mate, keep the pics coming they are feeding my lure addiction perfectly 😜

Cheers mate. While i enjoy it I'll keep pumping them out.

Biggest problem at the moment is most of my blanks come from China. And delivery times have extended out beyond a month. Im running out of lures to  paint....

Your finishes have really improved sBT! Some cracking looking lures there 👍

Cheers mate. A proper airbrush has helped immensely. Aswell as the Clear coat im using now it just adds an extra element to the lure. Ill keep at it. Can only improve really.

Means by next yellowfin season i should have some pretty dope lures painted up :)

  11. The great thing about painting your own lures is you can create your own style and colours... Been messing around with a few different patterns and styles just perfecting my painting skills and styles...

This photo doesn't do justice on how good this actually looks. This is an semi transparent Rainbow trout pattern that i will be rolling with when selling a few lures. I'll be looking at transparent redfin pattern and brown trout pattern aswell for the dams and creeks in SA.

    20200315_193226.jpg

This pattern is for HB tragic he asked me to paint for awhile. Now that i finally have a cleat Im happy with and a paint scheme i was satisfied with. once its finished mate ill hit you up.

    20200315_193047.jpg

This one is an 120mm sinking stickbait in an transparent pearl blue, pink and silver top. This lure looks so dam porn in the flesh!

Hoping to give a couple to some guys chasing Tuna.

    20200315_193132.jpg

These last ones are just a couple small chubby lures i painted in random colours thinking they wouldn't swim well. But actually swam straight from the get go...

Ill use these for reddies in the winter

  12. So been off work for a week after getting 3 wisdom teeth removed. So when i was feeling up to it i decided to paint a few more baits up...

Been thinking about what lures i will be painting to be selling for this season...

Hopefully i can figure out a good price for lures painted and rigged with good terminal tackle...

Like mentioned previously will be concentrating on Freshwater. Mainly trout and redfin.

And i will also be painting up Salmon lures aswell. So stay tuned for some lures coming up for sale soon.

Also if you are after a certain style of lure you'd like to see sendme a message and i can see what i can find for you.

  13. Cheers all. Got some big plans and ideas running through my mind so we'll see how i go...

Tried something different tonight.... Every Lure painter seems to sign there baits with there signature, but i have fat fingers and its hard to sign on small lures so saw another idea on Youtube and decided to give it a go.... Looks really good in my opinion. just adds that special touch...

I printed on some waterslide transfer paper and then slide it onto the bait... then cleared over the top of it.... I like it as mentioned adds an special touch to a custom job.... Can only do Black fonts at the moment but once i upgrade will be doing other colours to contrast the lure i am painting.... Got something special planned with this water transfer paper, just waiting on my blanks to come!

Any plans to do some bigger lures for Callop?

Potentially. So many other people paint great lures for callop and cod. In saying that

Callop lure blanks are readily available as they are similiar types bass fishos use in the states... plus stencils are easy to come by for them too so they make them easyto paint...

So if i get some interest i might. Just dont want to be stuck with them and waste $$$
