southie THE BANGA reacted to snapperhead in Mulloway softplastics?
A lot of theories being thrown around but it really comes down to the location and the conditions. Its these that dictate what you use. I personally am fishing in small shallow creeks so I go for the lightest jighead I can get which is 1/8 7/0 TT's. However if the tide is running quick which it can do I go up to 1/2 oz. You fish to suit the conditions. Also the style of tail you use makes a difference, paddletails require more weight to get the action working in them. Stick or jerk baits have no action it needs to be imparted by the angler so thats why you can get away with less weight.Really it all comes down to knowing whats going on below the surface and whats needed to get the fish to eat your lure. When it comes to colour I find that I change my mind regularly and the shade I was using a few years ago I now dont even have in my bag. Last years favourite is gone and I have a new colour I go to first so really Im beginning to think its more in the fishos mind than the fish. One last thing I think is the most important thing to get right is correct rigging. You really do need to get them on straight. Even the slightest little kink in the plastic makes a difference so dont cast till you are happy with how it sits on the jighead. If in doubt have a test swim and make sure its swimmimg right.Did I hear someone mention dead sticking......... Now for hard bodies One word suspend cheerssnapps

very unfortunate indeed... all it takes is one wrong move and it could all be over... ive seen and witnessed it first hand what fishing from rocks can do.. always stay alert, carry light and dont travel alone...also if fishing from the stones.. always have an emergancy way to get back to shore. scout around for the best possible route if possible if you do happen to go in.. just be wary of conditions and dont think the rocks are all fixed in place...

Very good advice :)Also wearing clothing that is easy to remove if you do fall in is smart. I never fish a spot if I haven't already worked out how i'd get out. Also swimming away from the rocks is ideal if you go in as the hazard of being smashed against them is eliminated. No fish is worth dying for

Seems the videos' are being removed at an alarmingly quick pace.I assume from the comments I'm reading the guy was out of line, and since he got fired pretty much immediately, i do feel for the captain. As someone who's hired and fired before, it's sometimes hard to get good staff who are supposed to be representing your company. Luckily the captain acted quick with his dismissal, but some scars may never heal.

Banger an myself headed for some new southern streams for a sesh an although we found some cracking streams the water was flowing and very murky which made it tough going . Quick phone call to Lord Black Billy an a change of plans saw us high tailing it to his private dam for a quick sesh on the way home . Now I can not thank or praise LBB enough for being so accommodatingto Banger and myself and what an absolute legend he is . Our quick sesh ended taking up the rest of the afternoon with us having soooooooo much fun and as you all know time flies when your having fun . We were set up for Reddie an Trout slaying so thats what we did . Rainbow trout for Banger and a Brown trout for me and about a dozen Reddies between us . In the video you can see the brown trout have a go at my lure an miss then attack my lure again after i slow it down a tad with the wake an ripples following my lure . AWESOME . At one stage we look at an area an both say this area looks promising an we both cast out and both get smashed at the same time but unfortunately the battery on the camera died as we were fighting the fish . Spew ? But the photo of them both is at the end of video . Hope you enjoy the video .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9mkY2g_eKMA massive an big BIG THANKYOU Lord BlackBilly your a champion .

Check the daiwa iprimi on their site. Out in July- designed for trout, shortest is 6'2" but that is a good tight area length. I preferred my 6'6" to my 5'5" as it was easier to reach around trees and guide fish around snags.
