If you want bream you should hit up the Hindmarsh river down here in victor,this year has been a cracker ,I've c&r over a 100 in the last 4 weeks on fresh peeled king prawn ,numerous over 40cm.early morn the best,very light line and the smallest running sinker,they are hot.

As deep as you can ,I recon at least 12 inches,the deeper it is the less it will heat up in summer,if it heats up to much ,game over.

It needs drainage and I used to use old hessian sacks that need to be kept damp,out of the hot sun and give them plenty vegetable and fruit scraps no citrus or onions or meat,tiger worms used to be easy to breed once you get started .

Well i worked in the Cooper basin for many years and there's not many places with more flies than there and that product that Archerfish has highlighted was killer on them, beat all the spray ons and was natural, worked really good for flies.

there is a bit of controversy over how they count them as well,

i have and still use the old Swedish 7000 i bought about 25 years ago it works great,i bought a knew one as you mentioned about a year ago and there is absolutely no comparison,does not cast ,retrieve or even feel the same.my first ABU i have had i replacement of the screw/worm in the level wind on the old ABU about 2yrs ago the new one lasted less than 2yrs,keep the good memories and choose again. well from first hand knowledge, as i used to be guilty of it, most people down at Goolwa were i carp fish feed the pelicans the fish as they catch them and this has created a major problem as now they expect to be fed and as soon as you set up they know and are waiting, sometimes up to a dozen, they will sit right over your bait position tangling lines and as soon as a hooked fish breaks the surface you have a bunch of them chasing it in the water,i have numerous times pulled fish out of their mouths trying to scull drag them,you have to battle them as you get the hook out of the fish on land
