The swine fishing, learnt lots from that!

Make sure you remove the bearing retaining clip, it'll make you life a lot easier! Although that can be a pain sometimes.... i normally use a fishing hook 'barb crushed!' to pry it out.

Generally if a rod is being extended it will have the extra length put on at the butt end. Conversely if the desired action is to stiffen a rod blank it will be 'tipped' or cut at the top end.

The black ones are hopefully going to be available in around a months time... Well to the Eastern states first anyway.

They will happily eat soft plastics particularly when in larger numbers.I caught 3 fish to 3kg sight casting a 100mm squidgy bloodworm wriggler last week.

[quote name='"Hallows" post=27 7117]I have caught a small one at Victor harbor before' date=' but does anyone know anywhere to get a decent sized one?thanks[/quote']More likely to be a zebra fish which looks very similar Used to catch plenty on the outer harbour rocks in the nooks and crannies.

426, WTF! :c Bring in the RFL and increase the penalities for this sort of action

The rods you've suggested would be perfect 'underpants'.If you're planning on releasing/tagging them there's no point prolonging the fight to exhaustion. Jewie's can be a little finicky releasing at times so id advise minimising fight time whilst still having fun. A photo at the end and all is good If you're gonna keep them then disregard the above! In addition id add some more rodsshimano raider snapper 4-7kg or samaki Allure 10-15lb or starlo classix 762 snapper 5-8kg are the first few of cheaper rods that come to mind but all capable. Reels capable of holding around 200m of 10-15lb braid

Sufix supreme or shimano beastmaster

From what i was told the latest lighting of the jetty incident is a load of crap fabricated by a jetty worker... apparently he's not a fan of fisherman on there.Real shame for Wallaroo, particularly this time of year... im not aware of what else you'd actually go there for apart from fishing, by large. Surely businesses will cop it hard.Seems so typical of 'way down south' Australia

Ive had the 2500 for about 5 years now, fantastic piece of equipment. The 2500 is super light at 200g and a little more versatile than the others if in future you decide to fish a little bit heavier for the natives etc.Mine is used primarily for bream but its comfortably caught schoolies to a metre.

Might also give data back on species that are being over fished... loads of different angles to look at it.
