The exact picture I need to copy the design! Very handy since I bought a pile of those balls for crab nets but found them to be 500ml too small
just need a rod holder thats tall so you can stick that into the ground when fishing too

I've seen a 'table' spiked into the shallows / flats, probably as I've never fished the flats up North for those calm water conditions.

A S&M member here, 'Underpants', has a floating bucket to put the fish in, tackle and rod holder.

    A possible thought anyway.

    for livies...
I usually have a balloon threaded onto my swivel (half through the rubber ring). swivel onto a wire trace depending on depth about 1-2m from bottom.
single hooks usually fine, bridle rigged where I can so the fish is okay to swim.
if you need to keep the fish off the bottom, rubber band/ tie it up and use a life saver as the breaker it dissolves and livie usually breaks it when its out a decent distance.

What research was put into the style of these to create the best type of reef in shortest period of time?

Me too, but after buying 1000 jigging hooks for $10 off aliexpress and having quite good results using them bait fishing, thought some of these new brands might be worth checking out....
    Obviously not!!!

Hey guys haven't posted for a few years, So I thought id chuck up a short post for yas! Recently went to pt Augusta for the first time chasing kings! We went for 4 days. We fished ridiculously hard for the first 2 days without any luck. Word of mouth was No one else had any luck either! So our third day out was a really early start (like every other day) so we were on the water before sun up n had some squid in the bag early! Off to find the fish!
So we ended up doing a bit of down rigging for an hour or so without any luck! Then we seen some good signs. So I started casting my new outfit around which is a saltiga5000 with my saltiga blue-backer 77s, I was hammering a popper around for a solid half hour to an hour till I started to get sore n was talking to my mate, all of a sudden boof! A kingy nailed my popper out of the water and it had my attention! I blooped it once more n paused n the king came n inhaled it! After a short but solid fight I had my first king in the boat! She weighed 17kg n went 124cm! Nothing else for the rest of the trip but both me n my mate were stoked we got a fish!

Try fireline, its kinda inbetween ive found and use it on most of my light rods. Its the same stuff you used of mine in the Port river for St's. It just had a 1m vanish trace on it.

Went out this morning from west beach, little big of a swell which made it slow to get down to brighton way for some squid, but damn were the big Bread and Butter fish out today. Not huge in numbers of squid, we got enough for a good feed with just 4 (all being over 30cms in the tube!) so move around trying to find another decent amount of squid to no avail.Threw the berley pot over around brighton way, few tommys none wanted to take any offerings :(Decided to move towards glenelg and go for some whiting.Threw lines for squid over, got a few smaller ones.line for whiting, got not even a touchBerley trail started again, in about 30 minutes the boat was surrounded with good sized gar.managed to get a fair few between a mate and myself and called it a day. Didnt measure 1 under 30cms but all were very hard to catch, again didnt really want anything offered to them. ended up cockles worked the best! Now to go cook up dinner and think about going out again tomorrow!

Freeze it yourself if you have space in the freezer to. ice cream containers work well for a nice solid block. and a few 2l coke bottles. Also i have previously used the 4-10l water containers too. Great when you buy a 5l aquapure container, freeze it and have nice cold water for the trip as well as a good block of ice too

Hit up a local beach today chasing YFW on the low tide.nice long walk around trying to find a nice gutter, bit of weed all good.Threw around a popper for about 15 mins, no hits.Changed popper, 4 casts later and IM ON! The rods bent at almost 90 degrees and lines peeling off the little sienna 1000. fighting this fish for a good couple of minutes on light gear, look down and its a 50+cm flatty! I'm licking my lips and the thought of flatty for dinner and reach down to grab him let a little too much slack in the line and a quick shake and kick and I watch him swim away :(Not deterred I keep casting the popper around the sand/ weed area running along the edge of the gutter. And bam another bite! Not as much fight in this one and hes quickly at my knees. Another quick wiggle and it too spits the trebles!Starting to get abit annoyed with this I change to bait, pile of shitties later I give back up on bait. Tides now coming back in and I can see the surface splashes about 10ms down. Cast a few meters bethind and swim the popper through, not a touch. try a few more times to whatever it was not liking the popper. Turn around and cast back at the gutter, nice big whiting follows the popper and takes a bite at it. I'm on again, 3rd time have to be lucky right? No, fish is just hooked below the eye and also wiggles free of the treble. No fish worth eating later I decide to walk back to the car. Need to work out why the trebles are so horrid at staying hooked in
