Afternoon / evening sesh on the Pat today, stuff the weather.
Fresh sesh tomorrow after lunch with the family, probably up the Warren.
Wynn Vale Dam Monday after work for shits and giggles.

The best I got was the Leyland Brothers, and those blokes couldn't fish for shit.
Having said that, Harry Butler and Malcolm Douglas knew a thing or two, not forgetting Bush Tucker Man, Les Hiddins a few years later.
Alby Mangels knew bugger all about the Australian bush or wildlife, his show was only good for perving on the babes he used to take on his adventures, which were mostly overseas.
These days we are spoilt rotten for fishing and wildlife shows.

The 1-4kg Bream Finesse is a great all-rounder.
Matched with a 1500 Symetre, excellent reliability and action, even catching carp up to 10kg.
Happy to pay the higher price if it keeps my local tackle store open.

I have a Precision Pak vest and love it.
Will never need to wash it and if I do I will just hose it down and hang it in the sun.
Got a Cranka Crab that escaped from its packaging and settled in nicely in one of the pockets.....gonna need some surgery to get that little bugger free.
Other than that, cannot fault it....well ventilated, easy to use and so far only smells like aniseed...I have had it for two years or more and use it very often.
Cost about 100 bucks from St Kilda Tackle and Tucker.
Worth checking out.

This all reminds me of a joke.....
What do you do if your missus starts smoking???
Slow down and use a lubricant.

Poor bloke, his pride and joy burns to the waterline, and nobody seems to want to help.
And he was uninsured, really feel for the guy.
At least all on board escaped unharmed

Looking forward to this.

Worth checking out SA Angler for Alex's metro bream article.
His first project for a fishing mag, and I doubt it will be his last.
Current edition, in shops now.

Get another Symetre.
Love my Shimano stuff, from Siennas up.
Not sure if they come in 1000s, but Exage RDs are never say die.
And interchangeable with Sienna RDs if you want to swap spools.

This may be a bit of an unusual topic for many of you, however, it's still something worth discussing -- and falls under the spectrum of "general fishing".
If someone were to ask you "how would you morally justify fishing?", how would you respond to such a question?
First of all, a big fat hearty welcome to our beloved fishing forum called Strike Hook.
Second, there are many of us on this site that practice catch and release. In fact, watching a fish swim away healthy is one of the aspects I enjoy most.
Thirdly, never piss on an electric fence, or play leapfrog with a unicorn.
I have a unicorn for sale if you want one.
Sorry, I have just sold my unicorn to this lady who plans to breed them....
Apparently she used to work at the Crazy Horse.
That would have been very yucky.
Who's braving the wet weather for a flick?

Very low water levels in the Pat, but plenty of small bream to keep me entertained.....
Dredging at the marina entrance on the sea side which stirred up the fish a bit, luckily not too affected by the weed like the beaches.
Wind was tricky at times, but not as bad as forecast.
Fished West Lakes for a couple of hours til it shut down around 8pm.
